Maugrim is the most feared wolf in Narnia. Head of the White Witch’s secret police, he arrests, threatens, and terrifies. His arrest notices, signed with a pompous formula, show the administration of a dictatorship.

His story

He is the one who arrests Mr Tumnus and leaves an official notice in the ransacked cave. After chasing the Pevensie children from the home of the Beavers, he does not catch them. He later finds them near Aslan’s camp and attacks Susan, who climbs a tree while blowing her horn. Peter jumps on him and kills him with his sword, trembling with fear. Aslan immediately knights him : "Sir Peter Wolf." In the Battle of Beruna, the other wolves still fight for the White Witch.

Reepicheep is a grey wolf, he is the right-hand man and servant of the White Witch. He was appointed head of the secret police. Peter killed him with a sword. He is called Fenris Ulf in the English version.
