Ce qui s’y passe (révèle l’intrigue)
This is where Tumnus plays his double flute and nearly lulls Lucy to sleep with Narnian tunes. Then he tearfully confesses that he is supposed to deliver her to the White Witch. When the four children return there, the door is wrenched off its hinges and the furniture is broken. A notice nailed to the wall announces Tumnus’s arrest for high treason, signed by Maugrim.
M. Tumnus lives in a dry and clean reddish cave. There is a rug, two small armchairs, a dresser, and a bookcase. On it are titles such as The Life and Letters of Silenus or The Nymphs and Their Habits. A fire burns in the hearth. He serves Lucy a sumptuous tea before confessing tearfully that he is in the pay of the White Witch.
Le Lion, la Sorcière blanche et l'Armoire magique — Premier thé de Lucy à Narnia. Plus tard, les quatre enfants trouvent la grotte saccagée, avec un avis d’arrestation signé par Maugrim.
