At the beginning of The Last Battle, Tirian stays with Puzzle in his small hunting lodge near the Lamp-post Wood. It is there that Roonwit comes to warn him of the bad omens.

After being freed by Jill and Eustace, Tirian leads them to a small watchtower built to monitor the raiders of the Wild Lands. Inside they find armor, swords, and provisions, and Jill and Eustace disguise themselves as Calormenes.

These humble settings show a simple king, close to his forests.

Tirian likes to stay in a small hunting lodge near the Lamp-post Meadow. Watchtowers were built there in 2534 to guard against robbers. They are stocked with weapons and provisions.
