The story
Lune had twins, Cor and Corin. Soon after their birth, an old centaur prophesied that Cor would one day save Archenland from its greatest danger. The Lord Bar, a corrupt chancellor in the service of Calormen, kidnapped the baby. The child was believed to be lost at sea. In The Horse and His Boy, Lune receives a warning from Shasta (who does not know he is his son) and defends Anvard against Rabadash’s surprise attack. After the battle, he recognizes Shasta as Cor, his eldest son and heir to the throne. He shows humor and mercy toward Rabadash, whom he would send home without punishment.
