En bref
The last page of The Horse and His Boy tells how Aravis and Cor, now grown up, got married, "to keep up the habit of quarrelling and making up." Their son, Ram the Great, became the most famous of the kings of Archenland.
Why it's important
According to Lewis’s chronology, Ram succeeds Cor in the year 1050. Through him, the Calormene blood of Aravis and the royal blood of Archenland are mingled : a hopeful conclusion for a book in which the two peoples are in conflict.
