En bref

In Narnia, every river has its own spirit. The most famous is the one of the Great River at the Ford of Beruna. When the Telmarines built a stone bridge over the Ford, it found itself enchained.

During the grand feast following the victory, the River-god rises from the water, huge and bearded, and asks Aslan to free him from his chains. Bacchus and his companions cause vines to grow over the bridge, which collapses into the water. The Ford returns to its former shape.
