The Men of Earth, or Earthmen, are small beings of all shapes.

The Men of Earth come in all shapes and sizes, some with horns, others with tails, and some with beards. Under the Lady’s spell, they are sad, silent, and obedient, preparing for Narnia’s invasion. When she dies, they wake up : they do not come from Underland, but from Bism, far deeper. Golg explains this to the heroes, and they all return home dancing. The old site described them as "little kind men."

Some have a horn, others a long tail or a trunk. They come from the Land of Bism. Enchanted by the Lady, they live sadly in the Underworld.

Homes of Earth — These kind little creatures, but ensorcelled by a witch, are a sort of gnomes living underground. They come straight from Lewis’s imagination. Their weapon is a trident. They are rather pale and all quite different : some are tall, others not, some have tails, others do not, some have beards, a round face like a pumpkin, others do not. Some even have a horn in the middle of their forehead and the number of toes varies from person to person. They love the depths and once lived in Bism, in the *Land of Bism*. But the Witch forced them to work for her in the Underworld, which is higher up, it was a nightmare for them.
