En bref
Golg is one of the gnomes, the Earthmen, whom the Lady of the Green Kirtle had taken from their land, Bism, and enslaved. He is small, with a ridge on his head and a large round mouth that gives him the look of a dwarf hippopotamus.
Regard and analysis
Golg shows that there are good depths and bad depths. The Witch’s Underground World was a prison ; Bism is a true country, with its own beauty.

Son histoire dans les livres (révèle l’intrigue)
In the book
After the witch’s death, the gnomes regain their memory and joy. Golg becomes their spokesperson. He explains that they are not naturally sad : it was the enchantment that made them morose. He describes Bism, the deep underground country where one drinks the juice of living precious stones and where rivers of fire are home to salamanders. He offers to take the travelers there, but they choose to return to Narnia.
