En bref
Trumpkin is a red dwarf, meaning a dwarf with red hair and beard. He is one of Prince Caspian’s first loyal followers. Gruff, practical, and very attached to what he can see and touch, he considers stories of Aslan and the ancient kings to be old wives’ tales. He will nevertheless fight for the cause, out of loyalty rather than conviction.

Trompillon
It is the brave red dwarf who will remain steadfastly loyal to Prince Caspian throughout all his adventures. However, he initially refused to believe in the great kings and queens of old that Prince Caspian had told him about, until something happened that completely changed his mind !
He once lived in a cave with a black dwarf named Nikabrik and a badger named Puddleglum. He was knighted into the Order of the Lion and appointed to the regency, and was thereafter called "Sir the Regent." In his old age, he became stone deaf. His English name is Trumpkin and he is often called C.P.A by the Pevensie (Dear Little Friend).
Presentation in the book
*"Like most dwarfs, he was very stocky and his chest was broad. He would have measured about ninety centimeters if he stood up straight ; a great beard and mustache of rough, red hair almost completely hid his face, leaving only a beak-like nose and small, twinkling black eyes visible."* (Prince Caspian, p.41)
Quote
* *"I might as well die chasing a will-o’-the-wisp as die here. I know the difference between giving an opinion and receiving an order. You’ve had my opinion, and now it’s time for orders."* (p. 106)
Appearances in the books
"Prince Caspian" "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" "The Silver Chair" "The Last Battle"
