The Marshwiggles are silly and boastful dwarves.
Ce qui leur arrive dans les livres
L'Odyssée du Passeur d'Aurore
The Marshwiggles were dwarfs in the service of Coriakin. The magician turned them into Dufflepuds, beings with a single leg and a large foot, because they refused to draw water from the well. Offended by their ugliness, they made themselves invisible using the magician’s book. They force Lucy to read the spell that makes them visible. They reveal themselves to be foolish and good, always agreeing with what their leader says. They use their foot as an umbrella or a boat.
Coriakin turned them into monopods, creatures with a single foot, as punishment for their disobedience. They then chose to make themselves invisible.
Comic relief in *The Silver Chair*.

Ce qu’en disait blog.narnia.ch
In brief
Nullipods — They are also called "Nullards." They live on the Island of the Voices with a magician named Coriakin. Charged with maintaining the gardens of the island, they unjustly rebelled against their master. Becoming invisible, they were also called the Invisibles or the Marshwiggles. They are not very intelligent and of small size, a bit like dwarfs, and have a single leg and a large foot. That is why they move by leaping. They were once ordinary dwarfs, but Coriakin transformed them and gave them a single foot. They were called "monopods." However, they are so unintelligent that they did not understand the meaning of the word and called themselves Monnaipods, Pomonods, or even Podémons. In English, their name is Dufflepud.
