The Island of Voices (Magician's Island)

Lucy goes upstairs in the magician’s house and reads the big book. She finds a spell to become irresistibly beautiful, a spell to hear what friends say about you, and a wonderful story she immediately forgets. She finally reads the spell that makes things visible : Aslan appears, along with Coriakin.

Coriakin, a star in exile, rules these naive dwarves who have been turned into monopods. The place is also one of the funniest episodes in the book.

It is the island of Coriakin, an old star whom Aslan has charged with ruling over the simple-minded dwarfs, the Duffers. The place has a stone house, lawns, and a library. The Duffers have made themselves invisible by magic.

L'Odyssée du Passeur d'Aurore — Les Nullards obligent Lucy à aller lire le livre du magicien pour les rendre visibles. Lucy y trouve aussi un sortilège pour entendre ce que ses amis disent d’elle, et le regrette amèrement.
