The story
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Drinian leads the ship through a multi-day storm, unknown islands, and increasingly strange waters. He discovers with horror that he allowed the crew to sleep near a dragon. He remains calm in the face of the sea serpent and the Dark Island, where dreams become real. When Caspian wants to abandon his throne to sail to the end of the world, Drinian is among those who remind him that a king has duties to his people.
The Silver Chair
Decades later, Drinian is still by Caspian’s side. He was there when the young Prince Rilian witnessed the queen’s death. He saw the Lady of the Green Kirtle enchanting the prince and blames himself. He accompanies the old king on his final voyage.
