The King and the Dragon of the Islands

En bref

King Storm (Gale in English) is a king of Narnia, the ninth descendant of King Frank. He tells his exploit to Jill : he sailed east and freed the inhabitants of the Lone Islands from a dragon.

Why it's important

In return, the islanders proclaimed him emperor. That is why the kings of Narnia also bear the title of Emperor of the Lone Islands, and why Caspian X can, in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, restore his authority there. According to Lewis’s chronology, the event takes place in the year 302.
