The steadfast badger

The badgers of Narnia are faithful, patient, and wise.

Ce qui leur arrive dans les livres

Le Prince Caspian, La Dernière Bataille

The badger is in Narnia a figure of wisdom and steadfastness. Digory saves Caspian and recognizes him as king : he says that the beasts do not forget. In English literary tradition, the badger embodies solidity and common sense, like Mr. Tumnus in The Wind in the Willows. Badgers are among the most devoted Narnians to Aslan.

They keep the memory of the time of Aslan.

Keepers of the Narnian tradition.
