Satyrs are the rough and wild cousins of fauns.

Ce qui leur arrive dans les livres

Le Lion, la Sorcière blanche et l'Armoire magique, Le Prince Caspian, La Dernière Bataille

Satyrs resemble fauns : human face, horns, and goat legs. They are more rustic, loud, and festive. In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, some are turned to stone by the White Witch. In Prince Caspian, they join the Old Narnians. In The Last Battle, the satyr Shift betrays Narnia and is struck by a arrow from Jill. The old site associated this people with the Silvans, Latin wood deities.

They appear in both camps.

Satyres

Satyres — In Greek mythology, satyrs are the gods of the woods and resemble fauns. Older satyrs were known for being ugly and lazy, though the younger ones were handsome. They followed Pan and Dionysus (the Roman equivalent of Bacchus).
