The Narnian fauns have the upper body of a man, a human face, small horns and pointed ears, and two goat legs ending in hooves. They walk upright, like men. They love music, dancing, and tea. Mr Tumnus is the most famous of them. In Prince Caspian, Caspian sees a ring of fauns dancing on the Dancing Lawn, and a dozen of them join his army. In The Last Battle, they are found in Aslan’s Country. Lewis borrowed the faun from Roman mythology, where it is a wood spirit akin to Pan. The image of a faun carrying an umbrella in the snow is the origin of all Narnia. In the illustrations for the site, fauns are always bipedal, with two goat legs. Did you know In the book

They are cheerful, musical, and dance, playing pipes. They have remained loyal to Aslan, except for a few.

Fauns

Fauns — Fauns have a human torso but goat legs and horns. In Roman mythology, they were rowdy creatures who followed Pan, the god of fields and woods, and Bacchus, the god of wine. In Narnia, most fauns are good and kind.
