The story

Ramandu explains that when stars grow too old, they descend to rest on this island. Every morning, a bird brings him a fireberry from the sun valleys, and he grows a little younger. When he becomes as young as a child again, he will return to his place in the great celestial dance. He keeps the Stone Knife with his daughter on the Table of Aslan. He tells the travelers how to break the spell of the three sleeping lords : sail to the world’s edge and leave at least one companion there. He also reveals that Cor is another star at rest, like himself.
