En bref

Glimfeather is a white owl of Narnia, as big as a dwarf. He is a little short-sighted, but wise and attentive. He is the one who notices Jill and Eustace upon their arrival at Cair Paravel, the day King Caspian sets sail.

His story

Glimfeather introduces the children to Puddleglum, the regent, advising them not to speak of Rilian. When night falls, he secretly carries them on his back and that of another owl to the Parliament of Owls, gathered in a ruined tower. The owls tell the children the story of the queen who was bitten by a serpent and the prince’s disappearance. They explain that Puddleglum, faithful to the king’s orders, would never let them go. Glimfeather then leads them to the Marshes of Puddleglum, to the west.

Name

Glim means a glimmer, feather means a feather : "glimmering feather." The name suits a white owl in the night.

Glimfeather

He is a great white owl in Narnia. Like all animals, he speaks. Despite his nearsightedness, his wisdom and insight will enable Jill and Eustace to undertake their journey to save Caspian X’s son. He is the leader of the Great Council of Owls, which takes place in a dusty and ruined belfry.
