Ce qui s’y passe (révèle l’intrigue)
The Pillar of the World overlooks the pass from Archenland into Narnia. It was on its slopes, in the mist, that Shasta first walked at night alongside an invisible presence : Aslan, who told him the whole story.
In the morning, Shasta finds himself in Narnia and discovers a lion’s footprint from which a spring gushes forth.
The Hill of the Lantern, the mountain with two peaks, was once Lantern, a two-headed giant. King Col of Archenland petrified him in the year 407. He serves as a landmark for desert travelers. The Mountain of Stormness (Stormness) also overlooks the mountains of Archenland.
Le Cheval et son écuyer — Bree et Hwin se guident sur la double cime pour traverser le désert. La légende d’Olvin est rappelée.
