Ce qui leur arrive dans les livres

Le Lion, la Sorcière blanche et l'Armoire magique, Le Prince Caspian, La Dernière Bataille

Des unicorns fight in Aslan’s army in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and they are among the creatures of old Narnia. Jewel, in The Last Battle, is Tirian’s best friend. He fights with his horn and speaks the most moving words about the land of Aslan. The unicorn is a medieval symbol of purity and sometimes of Christ.

They fight with their horns and are of absolute loyalty. The most famous is Jewel, friend of King Tirian.

Unicorns

Unicorns — A creature described in Greek and Roman mythology. It resembles a horse, but has a single horn on its forehead, a beard like a goat, and a tail more like a lion’s than a horse’s. In the Middle Ages, unicorns were used as symbols of purity. In Narnia, they are noble beasts. Jewel, from *The Last Battle*, is a fine example of Narnian unicorns.
