L’objet

The red lion is the emblem of the kings of Narnia, in homage to Aslan. It is seen on Peter’s shield, on Rilian’s when he was restored, and on the banners of Cair Paravel.

Histoire et rôle dans les Chroniques (révèle l’intrigue)

The Narnian armies advance to the sound of trumpets and horns : in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a pavilion and banners are displayed at Aslan’s camp ; in The Horse and His Boy, reinforcements arrive at Anvard under the banners.

These emblems give Narnia a consistent medieval heraldic identity.

The emblem of Narnia is a red lion standing on a gold or silver background. It flies on the banners of the Golden Age and the Narnian armies, accompanied by the sound of war horns.
