We know very little about the Pevensie parents : the father works, the mother takes care of the family, and the war forces them to send their children away from London. They remain in the background for almost the entire series.

- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe : the children are sent to the countryside, to live with Professor Kirke, to escape the 1940 bombings.
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader : the father goes to give lectures in America for sixteen weeks and takes the mother with him. Susan goes with them. Edmund and Lucy are entrusted to their Uncle and Aunt Scrubb.
- The Last Battle : the parents are in the 1949 train crash. They are seen in Narnia, which gives the book its final familial touch.
