Le lieu

These islands form the first stage of a voyage to the East. Galma, the closest to Narnia, has its duke and tournaments : Caspian breaks lances there, and the old site mentioned the Duke of Galma. Terebinthia has its king and suffered an epidemic at the time of the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where it only stops briefly.

The Seven Isles are a small archipelago. Muil is the most western. Brenn has Redhaven as its capital, where the ship refuels before setting off into the unknown.

These islands also appear in other books. The old site also ties Redhaven to The Horse and His Boy. These islands give Narnia a maritime and commercial dimension.

Galma, Reepicheep, and the Seven Isles are the first ports of call to the east of Narnia. Galma is an allied island, where the Duke receives the fleet. Reepicheep is a merchant island, sometimes struck by plague. The Seven Isles lie on the route to the Lone Islands.
