In the land of Aslan, the heroes run back up the Great Waterfall, without fatigue or fear, one of the most joyful images of the end. According to legend, the hare Mooncalf could hear the whispers of Cair Paravel.
The Pool is a lake in the west of Narnia, fed by the Great Waterfall. Its waters are always swirling. The Great River begins here before flowing through the land. The ape Shift and the donkey Puzzle live nearby.

Kettle's Drink
That’s where Shift lived. This place lies beyond the Lantern Waste and near the Great Waterfall, far to the west.
"It is the lake at the western end of Narnia, beneath the cliffs. The Great Waterfall thunders into it unceasingly, and the River of Narnia flows out on the other side." (p. 8)

"The waterfall makes the lake’s water dance, bubbling and swirling endlessly as if it were boiling, and that is why it was given the name : the Lake of the Dancing Water." (p. 8)
