An orchestral score and a choir appear to be in the works for The Magician's Nephew
Photos from a London studio and new credits suggest Greta Gerwig's soundtrack will blend rock with orchestral music, as it did on "Barbie".

Most of the talk about the film's music has been about its rock side, but it may turn out more classical than advertised. On Saturday, October 31, Andrew Wyatt, who is co-composing with Mark Ronson, posted two photos on Instagram taken at the Such Sweet Thunder studio in London, alongside sound engineers Peter Cobbin and Kirsty Whalley. An orchestra can be seen setting up in the background.
NarniaWeb also notes that over recent weeks the film's IMDb page has been gaining the names of musicians (flute, double basses, French horn) and of Ben Parry, director of the London Voices choir, which is used to working on film scores. The same studio and engineers worked with Gerwig, Ronson and Wyatt on "Barbie".
These are only clues: neither Netflix nor the filmmakers have officially announced what the score will consist of. It is still unknown how much of the film will be orchestral, or how many licensed songs it will include. Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven", heard in the trailer, is not necessarily in the film itself. The film opens in theatres on February 12, 2027, then on Netflix on April 2.
