The book in a few words

What announces Narnia
It's Narnia itself: see the connection sheets of the seven books and the section « Comprendre ».
What a modern reader retains
Read alongside other books by Lewis, Narnia appears less as an exception than as a point of convergence: you can find the medieval scholar, the former soldier, the apologist, the man who sought Joy. Greta Gerwig's film, expected in 2027, will introduce the work to a new generation; this section will help trace it back to its author.
Its legacy
Over 100 million copies sold, translated into more than forty languages; Carnegie Medal 1956 for The Last Battle.
